This seems related to the previous posting. I am worried.

The Second Oil War was by all standards a collossal failure, of both policy and resolve. The stated objective--preventing a small, isolated regime from developing "weapons of mass destruction"--was proven false by the American decision to use those same weapons in the attempt. It is also clear that the [untranslated, two words] acquisition and use of the [untranslated, three words] would simply not have happened if the Americans had chosen not to invade. [untranslated, five lines]

The other important effect of the Second Oil War, of course, was the demonstration of complete and utter disdain America showed for the just needs of the rest of the world.
